According to reports, the upcoming Apple iPhone 14 Pro models consisting of iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 14 Pro will feature bigger and more prominent camera bumps.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst stated that the Cupertino tech giant is working to upgrade the back camera to 48MP. He also revealed that the camera bump on iPhone 14 Pro models will be much bigger than any other in other iPhone models. It will be at least 25-35% bigger, whereas the height of the camera will be increased by 5-10%.
However, some rumours suggest that the circulating iPhone 14 images line lacks a back camera protrusion and has a slimmer profile.
But according to Kuo, Apple may have a more prominent and larger camera bump because they are upgrading the rear camera to 48MP.
Kuo tweeted that the main reason behind a more prominent and bigger camera bump is because iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone Pro Max will get a 48MP wide camera lens. This will increase the diagonal length of 48MP CIS by 25-35%. On the other hand, the 48MP’s 7P lens’s height will increase by 5-10%.
The upcoming iPhone 14 series is expected to have some major design changes, one of them being the replacement of the notch. It is reported that the old notch will be replaced by a new, pill-shaped, hole-punch TrueDepth camera array.
The most rumoured feature of the iPhone 14 Pro’s line is the addition of a wide camera lens of 48MP. The same information is repeatedly mentioned by Kuo as well as by TrendForce, which is a Taiwanese research firm.
Previously, Kuo predicted that the tech giant will take a break from its latest A-series chipsets in all of the upcoming iPhone models. He also predicted that the new iPhone 14 Proline models will come with the latest A16 Bionic chip, while non-pro iPhone 14 models will carry the same A15 Bionic chipset that was launched with iPhone 13 series last year.
Kuo also tweeted that only iPhone 14 Pro models will be upgraded to the latest Apple A16 Bionic processor, while the non-pro models consisting of iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will be equipped with the A15. He added that all the four iPhone 14 models are likely to have 6GB RAM. However, the four models will differ from each other in terms of other features.
